Adidas and BAPE Team for Ultra-Limited Sneakers With Digital Twins

Adidas Originals and BAPE have joined forces to create an exclusive sneaker collaboration named the Triple-White Forum 84 BAPE Low. This limited edition sneaker collection will feature just 100 pairs, and they will be auctioned off through NFT passes. These NFT passes can then be exchanged for the physical sneakers.   • The shoes will feature a white colorway, unlike previous camo-themed iterations, and are tied to a narrative centered around a pristine laundrette in a mysterious desert.

  • Each pair of sneakers will come with an NFC chip in the left tongue, allowing owners to access their NFT-based certificate of authenticity when scanned with a smartphone.

  • After redeeming the access pass NFT for the physical sneakers, owners will also receive a "digital twin" Ethereum NFT that can be used in Adidas' ALTS avatar project, suggesting the possibility of wearing the sneakers in the metaverse.

  • The NFT auction will take place from August 22 to August 25. Holders of certain NFT traits and members of the BAPE: (B)APETAVERSE community will have bidding advantages.

  • Bidding starts at 0.3 ETH (approximately $550) with no maximum bid.

  • Winners of the NFT auction will be able to redeem their tokens for the physical sneakers and digital twins starting from September 26.

This collaboration marks the third part of the celebration of BAPE's 30th anniversary, with previous releases including co-branded versions of the Forum Low sneakers featuring camo motifs.
