AnimeCoin Launches ‘Gacha Grab’ Game With Ethereum NFT Collection Azuki

AnimeCoin, a project spearheaded by Azuki in collaboration with several partners, has introduced a new game called "Gacha Grab," drawing inspiration from Japanese gachapon toy vending machines. Launched by the AnimeCoin Foundation, this web-based game offers players the chance to spin the dial and earn points and prizes, including digital Gachapons with various reward levels.

In "Gacha Grab," each spin costs 100 credits and awards one Gachapon collectible, akin to the experience of trying your luck at a physical gachapon machine. These digital collectibles are part of the Azuki NFT collection on the Ethereum blockchain. Players can earn credits by owning Azuki, Elementals, or Beanz NFTs. Additionally, those who participated in the first Bonus Quest in March may be eligible to receive 100 bonus credits.

The rarity of Gachapons is categorized into three tiers: Esteemed, Grand, and Legend. Players can enhance their chances of winning rare NFTs by forming "squads" with multiple owned NFTs and leveling up their Azuki profile.

To incentivize participation, the AnimeCoin Foundation has implemented a 2x credit earn boost starting from April 6, lasting for two weeks. Players can track their progress and standings on the leaderboard. However, it's important to note that Gachapons earned from NFT credits are tied to the corresponding NFT and will transfer to the new owner if the NFT is sold.

Azuki, launched in January 2022 by Chiru Labs based in Los Angeles, is an Ethereum-based collection comprising 10,000 anime-themed NFTs. With a floor price of 4.9 ETH (approximately $14,550), Azuki has garnered significant interest within the NFT community since its inception.
