Arbitrum-Backed Animecoin to Launch Soon with Community-Centric Tokenomics

Animecoin, a new cryptocurrency project, is set to launch this month with backing from Arbitrum and the Azuki NFT series. Designed to support the growth of anime culture, Animecoin aims to build a blockchain ecosystem that empowers its community through a unique and community-centric approach to tokenomics.

The total supply of Animecoin is 10 billion tokens, with 50.5% allocated to the community. Notably, 37.5% will go to the Azuki NFT community, and 13% is reserved for "community cultivation," managed by AnimeDAO, allowing holders to fund initiatives that benefit the wider community. This allocation underscores the project's commitment to decentralization and user empowerment.

Azuki, the company behind the NFT series, will receive 7.44% of the total supply, with a three-year vesting period and a one-year cliff. Early contributors, including Azuki employees, contractors, and advisors, will receive 15.62% of the tokens, also subject to vesting conditions.

The foundation, which will focus on ecosystem growth, will hold 24.44% of the supply, earmarked for grant programs and other operational needs. Additionally, 2% of the tokens will be allocated to strategic partners, including Hyperliquid, Kaito AI, and Arbitrum.

Animecoin’s focus on a community-governed ecosystem, with its AnimeDAO and decentralized funding models, distinguishes it from other cryptocurrency projects. The project aims to address the fragmented nature of the anime culture experience and build a unified platform for the global anime fandom, which spans over 1 billion fans worldwide.

Animecoin’s launch is expected to significantly impact both anime culture and the cryptocurrency space, creating opportunities for creative expression and collaboration within the community. As the project progresses, it will likely drive innovations that bridge the worlds of cryptocurrency and anime culture.
