Bored Ape Yacht Club leads daily NFT sales, ending DMarket’s streak
The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT collection has reclaimed its dominance in the NFT market, leading daily sales with a substantial US$919,152 on Wednesday. This surge allowed BAYC to surpass DMarket, which had been leading daily NFT sales for nearly a week.
BAYC's resurgence highlights its significant impact on the NFT landscape, as it remains the second-highest grossing NFT collection in history, with around US$3.18 billion in total sales, second only to Axie Infinity's US$4.27 billion.
Despite a slight increase in sales to US$698,815, DMarket from the Mythos blockchain was pushed to the second spot. Meanwhile, Solana's DeGods secured third place with US$651,574 in daily sales. Guild of Guardians Heroes on Immutable, which had been in second place earlier in the week, fell to fourth with US$532,034, and Solana's Mad Lads rounded out the top five with US$430,919.
On the blockchain front, Ethereum, where BAYC is based, led the way with US$4.74 million in daily sales, marking a significant rise from the previous day’s US$3.28 million. Solana followed with US$2.8 million, also up from US$1.67 million. The Mythos blockchain, despite slipping in rankings, is nearing a major milestone, just under US$6 million away from hitting US$500 million in total sales. It ranked fifth among blockchains on Wednesday, contributing almost US$700,000 in sales.
This activity underscores the ongoing competition and dynamism in the NFT space, with established collections like BAYC continuing to draw significant attention and value.
