Crypto Exchange KuCoin Launches $100M Fund for NFT Creators

KuCoin, a cryptocurrency trading platform based in Seychelles, has announced the launch of a $100 million Creators Fund to support early-stage non-fungible token (NFT) projects. The fund is designed to complement the newly launched KuCoin Windvane NFT Marketplace, providing creators with access to a large user base and community support for their initial NFT offerings.

KuCoin, established in 2017, has reached 10 million registered users and boasts a daily trading volume of approximately $2.2 billion. The KuCoin Creators Fund is a collaboration between Windvane and KuCoin Ventures, the exchange's venture capital arm. The fund is interested in various NFT categories, including art, sports, profile pictures (PFPs), Asian culture, celebrities, and GameFi.

As part of the initiative, 99 NFT creators will be invited to join the Windvane marketplace, which offers features such as minting, trading, and storage. Windvane supports popular NFT blockchains such as Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain (BSC), and Flow. The goal of the fund is to provide financial support and opportunities for early-stage NFT projects and creators.
