Grant Yun's debut NFT collection on Solana sells out in 9 minutes

Grant Yun's debut NFT collection on Solana, titled "Life in Japan," made a significant splash in the digital art world, selling out within just nine minutes on the Exchange Art marketplace. The collection, represented by the drop "A Bright Spring Day," explores Yun's memories from his time in Korea and frequent visits to Japan.

Yun, a renowned digital artist, had been observing Solana's art ecosystem from the sidelines before deciding to make his debut on the platform. Despite previously publishing digital art pieces from his "Life in Japan" collection on Ethereum, he recognized the potential of Solana and Exchange Art.

However, launching on Solana comes with its challenges, particularly in dealing with token sniping bots that streamline the token buying and minting processes. To ensure fair participation, Yun reserved minting spots for holders of his previous works, ensuring they had priority access to the new collection.

While Yun has not confirmed whether another drop from the "Life In Japan" series will be launched on Solana, he hinted that this might not be his last work on the network, indicating more to come in the future.

In other news, Mode, an Ethereum layer-2 blockchain, has seen a significant surge in total value locked (TVL), surpassing $344 million. This growth is attributed to users rushing to farm Mode's native token ahead of a rumored snapshot in early May. Renzo, a liquid restaking protocol, leads in TVL dominance, nearing $140 million in locked funds, with an impressive 85% rise in the last 30 days.
