Manchester City to Release NFT Collection Marking Premier League Title

Manchester City F.C., an English soccer club, is set to launch a collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to commemorate its Premier League title victory. This will be the first time a Premier League team celebrates a title win with an NFT collection. The collection, named "1" to represent the team's position in the league table, will feature four artworks by artist Jon Noorlander. In addition, fans will have a chance to enter a free prize drawing to win an edition of one of the artworks called "The Champions Medal," without having to make a purchase. The NFT collection will be available on the MakersPlace NFT platform on May 24, following Manchester City's final league match of the season against Everton, when they receive the Premier League trophy at the Etihad Stadium. MakersPlace is the same platform where NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes launched his "Museum of Mahomes" NFT collection in March.
