MATIC Surges as Disney Chooses Polygon for Accelerator Program

Polygon, an Ethereum scaling tool, has been selected as one of six companies to participate in Disney's 2022 Accelerator program. The program, designed to support the growth of innovative companies, focuses on developing technologies in augmented reality (AR), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and artificial intelligence (AI). Polygon is the only blockchain-native platform chosen for the program.

As part of the accelerator program, Polygon will receive guidance from Disney's senior leadership team and be paired with a dedicated executive mentor. The collaboration with Disney is expected to further expand Polygon's Web3 infrastructure. Following the announcement, the price of Polygon's native token, MATIC, experienced a 21% increase over the last 24 hours.
