Microsoft Teams up With Enjin to Offer Crypto Collectible Rewards

Microsoft has launched a new incentives scheme called Azure Heroes in partnership with blockchain gaming project Enjin. The initiative aims to reward Azure community members for positive contributions in the technical community. Participants who demonstrate their contributions through coaching, demos, sample code, posts about Azure, or completing challenges will receive badges in various categories such as community leadership, content, mentorship, and innovation. These badges will be issued as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the Ethereum blockchain, allowing winners to hold them as digital collectibles. The NFTs will be created in limited numbers and verifiable on the public blockchain. Winners will receive a QR code, which can be scanned to install Enjin's wallet and claim the NFTs. The news of this collaboration has positively impacted the price of Enjin's token, which rose over 44% in 24 hours after the announcement. Enjin has previously received investment from Blockchain's venture arm and partnered with Samsung Electronics on its blockchain-enabled Galaxy S10 smartphone.
