Peter Schiff Promotes His Bitcoin NFTs Amid Apex Crypto's Move Past $81K: 'There's 21 Million BTC But Only 50 Golden Triumph Ordinals'

Peter Schiff, a well-known critic of Bitcoin, is making headlines for promoting his own collection of Bitcoin Ordinals NFTs called “Golden Triumph” as the cryptocurrency market experiences a surge, with Bitcoin surpassing $81,000. Schiff, who has historically opposed Bitcoin, highlighted the rarity of his Ordinals, emphasizing that there are 21 million Bitcoin but only 50 of these specific NFTs, which he believes makes them more valuable. He announced this on X (formerly Twitter), encouraging the cryptocurrency community to invest in his artwork.

Schiff's collection launched in May of last year and includes the original “Golden Triumph” painting and additional prints, each inscribed on the Bitcoin blockchain as NFTs. Despite his foray into the Ordinals market, Schiff maintains that he hasn’t changed his stance on Bitcoin itself; instead, he argues that Ordinals add value to art rather than having inherent value themselves.

Bitcoin Ordinals are essentially data inscriptions on the Bitcoin blockchain, often used to create unique digital collectibles or art pieces. The technology behind these NFTs allows for the tokenization of assets, providing scarcity, provenance, and verifiable ownership through the blockchain. Currently, Schiff’s collection has a floor price of 0.1245 BTC, valued at around $10,141 based on the latest market price.
