The Solana-based NFT collection 'Rubber' has experienced a remarkable surge in popularity, achieving significant trading volume and an impressive floor price since its launch. The collection, consisting of 1,000 NFTs, was minted on Solana through Magic Eden's launchpad.
The floor price of the Rubber NFT collection initially surged to 23 SOL ($2,000), approximately 90 times the mint price of 0.25 SOL ($22). Although the floor price has since settled at 11 SOL ($950) at the time of writing, the trading volume on the Magic Eden marketplace has surpassed 11,000 SOL ($950,000).
The collection, created by artist and NFT collector Pop Punk, utilized Midjourney AI to generate 1,000 images exploring "the compelling moments in our journey and the undying human need to see what is beyond."
What's noteworthy is that Rubber has attracted attention not only from the Solana community but also from art collectors in the Ethereum and Bitcoin communities. Several users have expressed that Rubber is their first Solana NFT, indicating the collection's broad appeal across different blockchain ecosystems.
