Grand Theft Auto 6 Crypto Rumors: Rumors about the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) incorporating cryptocurrency resurfaced, following initial speculations more than a year ago. On Wednesday, a pseudonymous Crypto Twitter influencer named Gordon shared with his nearly 500,000 followers that “GTA 6 will enable cryptocurrency payments,” and mentioned that “so far only Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT [are] confirmed.”
When asked for sources, Gordon jokingly mentioned his “uncle works there” or referred to previous reports as “old.” However, no cryptocurrencies have been officially confirmed for GTA 6. We delved into the facts and fiction surrounding the GTA-meets-crypto rumors.
Moonray Launches on Epic Games Store: The sci-fi arena combat game Moonray has initiated its play-to-airdrop campaign. Participants who place in the top half of five games are eligible to receive the project’s native token upon its launch. Players can also boost their chances of winning by engaging in weekly social challenges.
This launch coincides with Moonray’s debut on the Epic Games Store, exposing the game to a user base of 75 million monthly active players. This trend of crypto games launching play-to-airdrop campaigns on the store follows similar moves by BloodLoop and Nyan Heroes.
Telegram Tap-to-Earn Upgrade: Telegram has upgraded its tap-to-earn feature, integrating new functionalities to enhance user engagement and rewards. This upgrade is part of a broader effort to merge social interactions with blockchain technology, creating a more interactive and rewarding experience for users.
