ZkSync Era launches “LIBERTAS OMNIBUS”, read to know more

zkSync Era, a layer 2 scaling solution, recently launched an experimental NFT project called LIBERTAS OMNIBUS on its network. The project aims to explore new NFT standards, network capabilities, and protocol features, while also collaborating with surprise creators to prototype collections.

During the launch, zkSync Era distributed NFTs to 10,000 randomly selected community members. The platform expressed gratitude to its active community, which has significantly contributed to the adoption and usage of NFTs on zkSync since its Mainnet launch.

After the launch, zkSync Era experienced a surge in activity. Transactions per second (TPS) on the roll-up reached an all-time high, and the total number of transactions in the past month on zkSync surpassed other Layer 2 projects, showcasing its strong network activity.

At the time of reporting, zkSync had over 52.8 million total transactions and more than 3 million total addresses. The platform's Total Value Locked (TVL) also witnessed a significant increase, reaching over $193 million, according to Artemis data.

While zkSync showed impressive growth, its competitors zkEVM and StarkNet also experienced positive developments. Polygon's zkEVM surpassed StarkNet in terms of TVL, securing a leading position. Additionally, there was a brief period where StarkNet surpassed zkSync in daily active addresses and transactions. However, zkSync quickly reclaimed its position as the market leader.

ZkSync's ecosystem is rapidly growing, and the competition among layer 2 scaling solutions is driving innovation in the NFT space. While zkEVM and StarkNet have shown promising growth, zkSync remains at the forefront, maintaining its status as the top roll-up in terms of daily active addresses and transactions.
